Who hosts the site? Can I use my own domain name?
We host the site and store all your data on our servers. You can use any domain name you own for your Fotobroker site. Most of our clients use ‘photos.MyDomainName.com’ or ‘reprints.MyDomainName.com,’ but the choice is yours.
How are payments from reprint sales handled?
Once a month, we send you a check with an itemized sales report. Up-to-the-minute reporting is also available online at any time through the administrative interface of your Fotobroker site. Taxes, if you elect to apply them to sales from your site, are remitted to you in your monthly check.
Who does the printing? And the shipping?
Atlanta-based ezprints is our primary fulfillment partner for prints (from wallet to poster sizes) and merchandise.
Orders are shipped directly to your customers. Prints and most merchandise items will typically ship within 48 hours, and often within 24 hours. Expedited shipping options are available, in addition to USPS First Class Mail (our standard method). Small print orders ship for less than $2.
It is also possible to choose your own fulfillment options. For example, you may elect to offer in-house printing or sales of your company’s merchandise and apparel.
Is it secure?
Our online transactions are handled by Authorize.Net, a respected member of the online commerce community. They maintain compliance with industry-leading security initiatives, including the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
Once the transaction is complete, our policy is simple: We do not retain customer credit card data in any way.
How do I get my images onto the site?
Uploads to the Fotobroker servers are handled over ftp or sftp connections.* The process is simple and fast. Once a day, at a time of your choosing, we import your images. Images can be organized into categories and galleries based on any of the metadata (IPTC, EXIF) you include in your files.
Who decides how my site looks?
You do. Take a look at our client list — you’ll find a wide range of styles. The best results come from close cooperation between your team and ours. We offer several basic templates to get you started, or you can provide your own HTML wrapper for full integration with your existing site.
* Note: Users of our hosted CMS package do not need to upload images to their Fotobroker reprints site. Instead, digital images from the news site are automatically sent to the reprints site.
