As you settle in to the more relaxed pace of summer, we’d just like to remind both our Gryphon and Fotobroker users that now is a good time to update your account details with us.

Did your webmaster or photo editor change recently? In order to ensure that your mail is going to the right place (for both Gryphon and Fotobroker), we’ll need those updated addresses. Just drop a note to support with any changes (or if you don’t know who the current recipients are).

From support for the Gryphon Users

In a related topic, now is a good time for Gryphon admins to go through their user list, and remove access from the accounts of now-departed staffers. We also strongly encourage the use of the Groups functionality to limit access to only what is necessary for particular tasks.

Admin access should be limited to only the select few will actively manage the site. It’s just good policy. If you have questions about Groups or Users, please let us know.

You may also be tempted to clean out the tags in your database, but unless you know for certain that the tag isn’t used anywhere in your templates, we’d advise resisting that temptation. If there’s an obvious misspelling or typo in a tag, that’s one thing, but arbitrary or large-scale deletions of your tags is Not Recommended, as it can (and very likely will) play havoc with display. We’ve seen this happen accidentally couple of times already this summer, so … please be careful.
